This plugin was developed due to popular request, from sites which offer bonus free membership upgrades to the first 'so-many' members. WHat it does is allows you to change the default membership type of new members. So if you want to give away 100 free 'Silver' Memberships to the next 100 members that signup, you can change this in admin with a couple of clicks. When it's time to change it back, it's just as easy to do that.

For sites that use this method, this plugin can be an enormous time-saver.

NOTE: This plugin will set the member type of all new members to the value you set, including anyone who signs up as an 'advertiser' account - so this may be incompatible with sites that use the automated advertiser account signup method.
